01
Getting started
What is aidrop.link?
aidrop.link is a French, EU-based service for publishing static websites and browser applications. It turns a complete static build into a secure live URL that you can protect, update, and manage from an AI assistant or the aidrop.link app.
What can I publish?
You can publish static sites and browser apps such as prototypes, dashboards, portfolios, documentation, reports, and interactive demos. HTML, CSS, browser-side JavaScript, images, fonts, PDFs, and other static assets are supported. Uploaded sites cannot run their own server-side runtime or database, but browser code can call external APIs that allow browser access.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Sign in with your email address and the one-time code sent by aidrop.link; a Free account is created automatically the first time you sign in. There is no owner password to remember, and authentication tokens must never be stored in a published site.
Do I have to use an AI assistant?
No. The aidrop.link AI Skill is the fastest conversational workflow, but you can also use the web app to upload files, configure access, update a share, inspect files, restore a version when available, or delete content.
02
Access and security
How do Free and Premium access options differ?
Free shares are protected rather than public: use password-only access through the AI Skill or API, or restrict access to approved email addresses and domains and optionally add a password. Premium includes the same protected options and adds public access, where anyone with the URL can open the site.
What is the difference between password-only and combined protection?
A password-only share asks every visitor for the shared password. An email/domain-restricted share verifies that the visitor is approved; if you add a password as well, the visitor must pass both checks. The web app currently adds password protection to an email/domain-restricted share, while the AI Skill and API also support password-only sharing.
How does email or domain-restricted access work?
Add exact email addresses or organization domains to the allowlist. A visitor enters their email address and receives a one-time access code; access is granted only when the address or its domain is allowed. Generic consumer domains such as gmail.com, outlook.com, and yahoo.com cannot be allowed as an entire domain, but you can allow individual addresses from them.
Does every share use HTTPS?
Yes. Every aidrop.link URL is delivered over HTTPS automatically. Passwords are stored as protected hashes, and access rules are checked before hosted files are served. Do not publish secrets, private API keys, or credentials inside browser-accessible files.
Is aidrop.link GDPR compliant?
Yes. aidrop.link is operated by a French entity established in the European Union and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The core service is hosted in the EU. See the Privacy Policy for details about processed data, service providers, retention, safeguards, and your rights.

Limits and lifecycle
What are the Free and Premium limits?
Free includes up to 5 active shares and 10 MB per share. Premium includes up to 100 active shares and 100 MB per share. A share is active while its inactivity period has not expired; expired shares remain manageable but no longer consume an active-share slot.
How do ZIP uploads work?
A ZIP archive is accepted as an upload transport and unpacked before publication; the ZIP itself is not hosted. Its extracted contents are limited to 30 MB and must also fit your plan’s per-share limit. Executables, server-side scripts, disk images, packages, and nested hosted archives are blocked. Include the complete build, preferably with a root index.html, and use valid asset paths.
Is there a traffic limit?
There is currently no separate published visitor or bandwidth quota. Plan limits cover active shares, size per share, visibility, expiration, and version history. Fair and reasonable use is expected, and automated or abusive traffic that unreasonably burdens the service may be restricted under the Terms of Use.
How long does a share stay online?
Free shares expire after one month without access. Premium lets you choose one month, one year, or no inactivity expiration. The clock starts at creation and resets after a successful visit. Once expired, the URL returns an expiration response, the share no longer counts toward the active quota, and its content may later be deleted under the service’s retention rules. Keep your own copy of every build.

Managing a published site
Can I update a site without changing its URL?
Yes. Publish a replacement version and the existing aidrop.link URL and access settings are preserved. A replacement upload must contain the complete desired site because it replaces the current file set. You can also change access, title, password, or expiration without replacing the files.
Can I restore a previous version?
Premium retains up to 10 previous versions for each share and can restore the immediately previous retained version. Free keeps only the current version, so retain your own source and build files.
Can I delete a file, a share, or my account?
Yes. You can remove a file from the current version as long as at least one file remains, delete an entire share, or permanently delete your account from the app. Account deletion removes hosted shares, sessions, subscription records, and stored files and cannot be undone.
Do single-page application routes work?
Yes. aidrop.link serves exact files and directory index.html files, and unknown extensionless routes fall back to the root index.html for client-side routing. Missing asset-like paths return a real 404, so make sure your build references assets from the correct locations.
Can I use my own domain name?
Not currently. Every share receives its own secure aidrop.link subdomain. Custom-domain support is not part of the current Free or Premium application.
Your next build is one prompt away from a live link.
Add the Skill once, then ask your AI to publish, protect, or update it.
